Elizabeth Beattie
RTC-C Registered Counsellor
Healing is a journey — and you don't have to walk it alone. I support youth (13+), adults and couples in Salmon Arm, BC. With a grounded, client-centered, trauma-informed, and body-aware approach, my role is to offer a compassionate and non-judgmental space that honors your autonomy, intuition, and lived experience. Using an integrative and multi-modal process, sessions are adapted to each individual's needs. This may include creative expression, emotion-focused work, mindfulness, somatic awareness, and practical skill-building.
Education & Training
Bachelor of General Studies with a Minor in Psychology from Thompson Rivers University
Diploma of Professional Counselling from Rhodes Wellness College
Life Skills Coach Certification from Rhodes Wellness College
Additional training in Meditation, Mindfulness, and Art Therapy
On a personal note: I find meaning in the ordinary — whether I'm nurturing the earth or pausing to converse with a fellow stranger on the street, my personal practices reflect the same care and intentionality I bring to my work: rooted in authenticity, open-hearted curiosity, and deep compassion.
My path into this work is shaped by my own lived experience. Community, support circles, and eventually counselling gave me places where I could be honest, understood, and not rushed. Those spaces helped me reconnect with who I was beneath survival mode, and better understand healing as something relational, tender and deeply human. These pieces infuse my practice with purpose and are a constant reminder of why I do what I do today.
